Our Produce, supplying Staffordshire with great value local food

I am so excited to announce the teaming up of Our Produce and The Butcher, The Baker, The Icecream Maker at Barton Marina. Like me, Steven and his gang are totally dedicated to supporting local producers and sourcing the very best of what is local at affordable prices. Already there are loads of new products in the butchers shop and more and more will appear over the next few weeks, meaning a bigger and better Our Produce for you, with extending ordering times and covering a wider area in the near future. Sounds like good news to me…let me know your thoughts!

I’d love to stock those Village Cookbooks on a completely non-profit basis. Drop some down sometime and we can see how it goes. (I love that this kind of thing happens!-Jenny)

Also, been meaning to email you for ages to say thanks again for getting us in on the Our Produce scheme. It’s working out so well for us and the food you offer is amazing – especially the cakes!

Such fantastic community spirit is great to behold as local women rally together to form a new WI group in Rangemore and Tatenhill, near Burton on Trent. With 34 members aged between 29 and 80, from as far afield as Bretby and Stapenhill it just goes to show that there is still huge support for the principles and values upheld by the WI. One of the latest gauntlets they are running is the Love Food Champions Project showing how Love Food groups across England successfully cut their food waste by half! Love food, Hate waste!

On Saturday 24th May the new group stages their first big event at Tatenhill Village Hall from 2 till 5 with a skittles competition and hog roast, supplied by The Butcher, the Baker and Icecream Maker from Barton Marina. Plus there is also a wide variety of WI stalls and local businesses purveying their wares – including of course your favourite local food source, Our Produce.
